💒Apitanga💒

IALT: Talk about how church camp - Apitanga - went!

Malo e Lelei and greetings to you all...
WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

So last week on Friday, I had CHURCH CAMP which we call 'Apitanga' EVERY April & October EACH year. So on the month 'April', we usually will have to wake up early to go to morning church first and then go to breakfast but firstly, I will tell you where the boys & girls sleep.

So, in the kava room & the foyer, that's where the girls sleep since there is more privacy for us and I mostly sleep in the kava room with my mother and the rest of the older ladies, and also my cousin Nane.

But I most likely want to sleep in the Foyer because I just find it better than the Kava room since most of the teenage girls and the girls that are kind of my age sleep there so we do all nighters and a LOT of fun stuff @ night.

Don't worry, because yeah - a foyer is the only entrance in most churches that lead you to the actual church where we will be going everyday for Apitanga, but we usually close the foyer door {where people come in from} and lock it. Then we cover it with curtains, same goes to the doors to church where ONLY us girls are allowed to go through since they're sleeping in the foyer if you KNOW what I mean.

Then FOR the boys, they just sleep in the hall where the kitchen is so the older ladies and my mum cook breakfast & dinner there every single day {FOR 4 DAYS} but they cover the boys side with a huge material that looks like a curtain but really its not and it covers their side, for THEIR privacy but sadly - it's quite cold in the hall but NOT in the Kava room or the Foyer.

So, we usually do what we ALWAYS do every year when it's April like since it's Easter, we'll ALWAYS do bible studies and programmes but on Saturday - the kids under age of 14 have to stick with the kids so bad luck for them *laughing* but we do colouring and all sorts of other stuff.

On that night, we have to compete against our age groups on which colouring is the best and only our priest chooses. So the age groups are - 3-5, 6-8, 9-12, 13-14 - But this year, NOT that much kids came which was cool since it wasn't really that crowded but still, it would've been better if most of the kids were there.

Yeah but anyways, We just did the same thing like go to church and do a prayer before getting our beda ready to go to sleep then do programmes on Saturday & learn song {Youth only}, Then Sunday - wear white and go to church. After ALL of that, we sleep once again and go back to our homes on Monday since it's a holiday!
