🇹🇴Tonga Loses Against England🇹🇴

IALT: Reflect about England's win against Tonga!

Hello EVERYBODY!
Welcome back to my blog!

So yesterday, I went to the game at Mt Smart - It was Tonga vs England, I had faith & trust in Tonga and I knew they could do it. Anyways, When we got there - There were HEAPS and HEAPS of Tongans, It looked like a Red Sea. What surprised me that were SO much Tongan supporters then England supporters, But of course we're humble ya'know...

So we got some sweets, drink & food before it becomes sold out since there are HEAPS of people there. Lucky, We were one of the first people in line! So we got our food and went to look for our seats - We were near the screen like on the left side. It's hard to explain but that's where we were sitting but like in the front!

Image result for rugby league tonga vs england

I liked our spots because we had a VERY good view. So then we got to our seats at 5.00 but the game was at 6.00 so we had plenty of time to do anything so instead of doing something, we just watched the Mate Ma'a Tonga players train...I was praying to our heavenly father and hoped for the BEST!

An hour came past, The game STARTED! We were ALL cheering since Dinah Jane was singing the national anthem, She absolutely KILLED IT! We ALL were surprised when she did a little of her own style of singing and it was just so Bravo!

It was Half time, And Tonga still hasn't got any tries. It was 0 - 12 to England during the Half-time, I kept praying and praying to the man above and kept hoping for the best!

Then the 2nd half came, England managed to score a try but what ALL of us Tongan Supporters were surprised about at the game was that it was only five more minutes on the clock til the game finishes and we managed to score 2 tries - Then as there was less than 10 seconds on the clock, Andrew Fifta got close to the try-line but was stripped off the ball from a England player, It knocked on but still - Andrew got a try!

Image result for rugby league tonga vs england

What was disappointing and annoying was that the Assistant Referee said it was a TRY and Andrew Fifta heard him so he tried to tell the main referee but he ignored and finished the game!

That referee's name is Matt Cecchin, He should've atleast checked it before he finished the game but Nope. But he was too stupid to notice that it was a try as you can see to the replay!

When the game finished, I went and got photos with David Fusitu'a! I'm actually related to him and it's quite a coincidence!

Anyways, Have you signed the petition for Tonga vs England? and If you did, Comment!

🗣Annoucement🗣

IALT: Reflect about me getting announced to...

HELLO EVERYONE!
Welcome back to my blog!

So yesterday at lunch, Kids who got placed like 1st, 2nd & 3rd in field events and also in racing get to go to Interschools, And I was ONE of them. Ms Thompson who is our sports/P.E teacher this year is running sports and she gave a list to each teacher that at lunchtime, after the eating bell - For those people on the list to go down to her class which is in Room 3.

I didn't get called out from the teacher, So I thought that I didn't make it until I went to wash my hands because I did a blackhead mask but I didn't wanna put it on my face, I wanted to put it on my hand. I was gonna wash it off until I heard my name so I went to Ms Thompson & she said that I made it into High Jump and also Long Jump with one of my close friends Constance!

Image result for sports field events

She's also in other events but I am grateful that I got to do 2 events. So I don't get tired that much, But I do feel sorry for others because some girls & boys have to do more than 5 events on that day but at the same time, they're lucky since they'll get a BIG FAT lunch to eat!

For us, We are going with year 4, 5, 6 , 7 & 8's! Anyways, I just wanted to tell you and maybe if you're a student that will be going to Interschools too, I'll see you THERE!

🥙Technology🥙

IALT: Reflect about Technology!

Hello EVERYBODY!
Welcome back to my blog!

Today for technology, We made Mince Pies! Sadly, this is the 2nd to last week of Technology with the year 8's and our last week of Technology is next week. I am a bit upset but it's gonna happened and oh well. It was an AMAZING experience getting to fry onions and mince with my peers on the pan, It felt nerve-wracking doing it because I was a bit afraid because I thought that I was going to get burned but it didn't happened which was GREAT!

I worked with my Kia Manawanui peers who are Constance (Year 7) & Frances (Year 8). They were AMAZING and I'd love to have them as peers next week when we do Technology again! I thought we were actually going to make mince pies, But it was like mince pie on a tray, As we were frying it like with my peers which are Constance & Frances, We thought that the mince wouldn't taste good or the mince pie because how us 3 are bad cooks except Constance, But we still had hope!

Image result for Mince pie

I don't have the actual picture because I couldn't wait for it to be shared to be, But this photo is similar to it anyways...If you want to learn the recipe, Here it is:

Step 1 - Slice & Dice the onions and then fry it until soft.

Step 2 - Add mince to the frying pan.

Step 3 - Mix 2 teaspoons of gravy powder with one cup of water and add it into the frying pan.

Step 4 - Then after that, Add some pea's.

Step 5 - Mix until thick.

Step 6 - Add Salt & Pepper and then mix again.

Step 7 - When you feel like it's ready, Cover your tray that you're gonna put the mince in with some pastry.

Step 8 - Add the mince into the tray.

Step 9 - Then add grated cheese on top of the mince.

Step 10 - Fold the pastry in.

Step 11 - Put it in the oven.

Step 12 - When ready, You can ENJOY!

That's how you pretty much bake/fry a mince or cook a mince pie! Have you EVER baked/fried a mince pie? and If you did, What was the results?

🌍Zoo Trip🌍

IALT: Come up with educational idea's about animals!

Hello EVERYBODY!
Welcome back to my blog!

So yesterday, Kia Manawanui went to the Auckland Zoo! This was the VERY last educational trip we went to and I had SO much fun at the zoo with my year 7 & 8 peers and hopefully they had a GREAT time too. What was MORE exciting was that Ms Kirsty who is one of our old teachers worked at the Auckland Zoo and She was the person who gave us a educational lesson...I was in her first class at Tamaki Primary School which was back in 2013! I can't wait to tell you all about it....

So as we arrived at the zoo...We departed from the bus. Then we had to go and sit inside of the zoo and also wait for Ms Aireen to pay for us before we go in, We waited for probably half an hour which is 30 minutes because she didn't arrive till later. While we were waiting, We were taking photo's with the big green lizard that is laying down in front of the Zoo Entrance! Don't worry, It is gigantic but it's FAKE meaning its NOT real!

Then after ALL that waiting, We finally got to go into the zoo! Then we had to tell ALL the adults that at 12.00pm, We'll have to meet at the Educational Centre. So we went off and away to go see some wonderful animals! I was in Leilani's group and our adult was her father Ofa, He was really funny and I enjoyed going around with my group!
We saw:
  • Flamingoes
  • Tigers
  • Meerkats
  • Red Panda
  • Zebra's
  • Ostrich
  • Ostrich eggs (Which were AMAZING)
  • Alligators
  • Tasman Devil's
  • Otters
  • Peacock (Harold)
  • Birds (Bob & his friends)
And many more....

It was an SPECTACULAR experience walking around the whole zoo and getting to learn new educational skills and ideas about that particular animal. After that it was 12.00pm, So we had to go to the Educational Centre. ALL the groups got to get spilt up into two groups so one whole group including the adults were with Ms Komor and The other group is with Ms Aireen so my group which was Group 1 had to go to the Educational Centre first.

There were lizards in their habitats in that specific education centre and there were ALSO polar bear skin carpets and also lion ones! When I got to touch it, I was immediately scared even though it was dead, Then I touched the polar bear and got the same exact feeling. We also got to play with a tiger's toy which they chew on, The person who was educating us and worked at the zoo is Frazer, He's AWESOME and he told us ALL to play with the big black toy and get our smell on it because the tiger will chew on it thinking that the toy is a human being.

Then we got told that back in the old day, The chimpanzee's had to act like humans drinking tea and also had to smoke a cigarette just to entertain others. I feel so bad about that because we also got told that there was a chimapanzee named Jane who actually forgot she was a Chimpanzee because she had to do the same thing that I just explained above several times in her life.

So she had to live in a cage by herself and without other chimpanzees which is sad....Then after that, We got to go and explore some more around the Zoo with Frazer, He said that there is two new cheetahs in the zoo who just turned 2 last week and have been living at the zoo for only a week and a half.

The other 2 cheetahs who were brothers sadly died. So the new 2 cheetahs who are sisters moved into the zoo! We ALL went to the same area where we discussed to meet at the Education Centre, We had lunch, Took some photos and went back to school!

Have you EVER been to the zoo? And if you did, What did you learn about a specific type of animal?

If you wanna answer these questions, Please comment!

IALT: Give our opinions about Why we should have zoo's.

Hello EVERYBODY!

🤔Should we have zoo's?🤔

IALT: Figure out if New Zealand should have zoo's or not?

Hello EVERYBODY!
Welcome back to my blog!

Image result for Auckland Zoo

Ms Komor gave us a task to do, It was about Modern zoo's. Since Kia Manawanui is going to the zoo tomorrow, We wanted to be more educated about the zoo so when we get asked questions by a couple of the students & myself's old teacher Ms Kirsty, We'll be able to answer it!

I'm just SUPER excited to go to the zoo since I am going to see Ms Kirsty which I already told you....was my teacher back in 2013. It's gonna be a wonderful time and I know for sure that we're ALL gonna have a blast when we get there tomorrow!

Anyways, We got given a presentation full of tasks and we came to a slide that had questions so we picked one and it was "Why should we have zoo's?".

We also had to make a screencastify and explain why we should have zoo's around here in New Zealand, Here is myself & Aletheia's opinions on why we should have zoo's!

Here is the DLO!

Do you think we should have zoo's? And Why?

🏅Run, Jump, Throw🏅

IALT: Learn new skills on how to throw a shotput!

Hello EVERYBODY!
Welcome back to my blog!

So just a few minutes ago..We just finished our Kiwisport. As you might already know, Our kiwisport for this term is "Run, Jump, Throw", I've really liked doing this kiwisport EVERY monday - Because it helps me develop more different & unique skills about sports which I am really into. It has been a wonderful, spectacular & amazing time to get to do these kind of Kiwi Sports at school so I am SO excited to tell you all about the things myself & Room 9 did just not long ago...

So, Room 9 walked down the stairs ALL the way outside so we can have our Kiwisport, We were learning to do Shot Put! Shot Put is a hard sport for me to do because I am not that strong to hold those heavy medal (Probably) balls to throw. One of my idols, Valerie Adams is a professional shot putter who has won several gold medals & other medals too.

She is also TONGAN which makes her one of my ALL time favourite idols, Along with her strength and inspiration. So as we got on to the field, We did a warmup game which is Dodgeball - It was quite a tiring game against others because we only were able to hold the coloured balls to throw for only 3 seconds and if we got hit by the ball then we'll be out, That was elimination round.

Then after dodgeball, We got into a group of 3 to practice doing shot put but not with the real ones, The balls just looked like a Sized 3 volleyball but it's ok. I had so much fun anyways! So we kept practicing and practicing til we got the instructions right which Coach Allen gave to us.

Then we had to get into peers and I was with Aletheia. She's a awesome peer and I had a blast practicing how to throw a shot put far, When she threw it - It went quite far like farer than my one but I was still pleased with my throw! After ALL that, We came back into the circle - And talked about what we could work on next week.

What I found challenging during this Kiwisport was:
  • Myself having to throw the ball far!
  • It was hard having to aim the ball straight to do it far!
  • Also trying not to muck around with my friends!
  • And having to listen to the instructions!
My next steps are...
  • To stop mucking around and listen to the instructor!
  • To pay attention to the instructor's instructions that are given.
  • To become more reliable and tell my friends to stop distracting me!
Have you EVER did this Kiwisport? and If you did, What was your results of doing it?

If you want to answer these questions, Comment!

🇹🇴Tonga Wins AGAIN🇹🇴

IALT: Reflect on Tonga's win against Lebanon!

Hey EVERYBODY!
Welcome back to my blog!

So, I watched the game between my nationality country Tonga vs Lebanon! If you don't know the country Lebanon, It's a sovereign state in Western Asia and is bordered by Syria to the north and east and Israel to the south. It was such a close game but I'm SO excited to tell you ALL about it!

Well...There's not much to talk about except the 2nd HALF! What sucked for me was that I was sleeping and I didn't even recognise that the game was on until I heard my whole FAMILY screaming!

I woke up and it was just 54 minutes on the clock so it was pretty much pass half time! To be honest, Tonga's defence was quite off but oh well - Hopefully they do better next week in Mt Smart.

(Yes I know, In the background it says "New Zealand vs Tonga" But It's about the picture :)

It was 16 - 24 when I was watching it but Lebanon managed to score a try & a goal when they had to kick the ball over the goalpost so it was 22 - 24 from Tonga. I was praying to our Heavenly Father that if we could win and It came true!

Now, Tonga is heading to the Semi-Finals and are playing their next game at Mt Smart Stadium here in AUCKLAND! I'll be going to the game so make sure to tell me in the comments that'll you'll be going too!

Did you go to the game in Christchurch? If you did, How was it?

👏Athletics Day👏

IALT: Develop more skills on how to lead my house during Athletics!

Well...Hello EVERYBODY!
Welcome back to my blog!

So I just realised that I haven't blogged about Athletics! Isn't that CRAZY?! I NEVER forget about blogging about Athletics but I just did! But Anyways, It was a BLAST hanging with my peers from the other house groups and getting to lead my house team by doing chants and also making sure we ALL do the write thing consistently during the day. Anyways, Let me talk about what happened on that day...

So it was 9.00am, Everybody had to go back to their classes and do their roll before coming back to their House Team classes, I'm in the house team Alamein! Me & my family that has been to Tamaki Primary has been in Alamein, And to give you a hint about our school House team names - It's the name of the known roads that around our school area.

Image result for Athletics word

If you don't know the roads then it's Benghazi, Tripoli, Tobruk & Save the best for last, ALAMEIN! Alamein & Tripoli are the main roads which are the closest to Tamaki Primary School. So Benghazi is Green, Tripoli is Blue, Tobruk is Red & Alamein is YELLOW!

So in the first block, We did Field Events like for e.g - High Jump, Shot Put & Many other things...My favourite event was High Jump, The reason why my favourite is High Jump is of course because I LOVE jumping & I love to challenge myself to jump high!

Then after Morning Tea (Middle Block), We started doing races. I was nervous at first because they were A LOT of fast girls at my school so I didn't know if I was able to handle the pressure but I did. So we raced & Only the 1st, 2nd & 3rd get sticks to go and give to the table so they could write your name down on a paper of what place you came in.

After ALL the races, It went on to Relays then to Toddler races in the end of the day! There was also Parent races & Your auntys/uncles/older cousins/Older sibilings race too! I had a AWESOME time going to Athletics and leading my house team. Now I'm really excited for Next year and hope for the best!

The winning house team this year was BENGHAZI! Sad that we lost but it's alright because we're humble!

What place did your house team come in during Athletics?

Have you had Athletics already?

What was your highlight of the day?

If you wanna answer these questions, Please comment!

🤙Fitness🤙

IALT: Try my hardest to run as fast as possible!

Hello Everyone & Welcome back to my blog!

Image result for Athletics

So just after morning tea, We had Fitness, Our normal fitness is usually just running around the bike track, then coming back to do Lunges, Squats, Shuttle Runs, Step-Ups, Star-Jumps and Planks. But this time, We did it differently since Athletics Day is tomorrow.

There are pretty much A LOT of fast girls at this school so I am pretty nervous to race them tomorrow but I will just pray to god and hope for the best! But luckily, We are versing each other by our ages, So if you turned 12 before October then you have to verse the girls who are 12. But what I'm trying to say is that if you turn 12 or 13 after October the 1st, Then you will have to verse the people who are your ages before October 1st if you get me.

So, From monday to this day right now - We have been doing Athletics Training so we could prepare ourselves for the big day tomorrow. So we raced ahead, I came 2nd or 3rd? But I still think I did a good job though!

What are your thoughts on this?

✍️Technology✍️

IALT: Write a reflection about what we learned at Technology!

Hello Everyone and Welcome back to my blog!

Image result for Technology

So today, Ms Tuipulotu wasn't able to come to Technology due to her sister passing away which is very upsetting! So we had a reliever who works at Tamaki College which were Ms Heka, She was a pretty cool teacher to work with and I got to learn a LOT from her during today's lesson. Since we didn't get to do cooking, We got to do educational cooking word fines and some other AMAZING stuff etc....It was a awesome day hanging with my peers and the teacher and hopefully, we will have a another good Technology next week!

What I found cool was getting to learn some safety hazards/tips. Also getting to know the "Geek Cafe" where we were working, I can't believe kids get to do Barista and make this a public cafe - To the teachers, Elderly and many more people...Except people\students aren't able to come.

What I found challenging was keeping up with everyone else because the teacher talked really fast but luckily, I asked my peers about stuff I got stuck on and as friends, They helped me out! Something else I found challenging was getting stuck on the "Safety Hazards" and other stuff too.

I had a AMAZING time at Technology and Hopefully I will be able to come here and Have so much FUN again next week!

What are your thoughts on my work?!

🌴Te Tuhi🌴

IALT: Learn about Storytelling & Roleplaying!

Well...HELLO EVERYONE!
And Welcome back to my blog!

So for the Last 3 weeks, We have been going to Te Tuhi Art Gallery! It's been a AWESOME time going there and learning more about art and different education stuff, I've really enjoyed it and I had SO much fun going their with my class peers and also getting to collaborate on Art and different unique things/activites we got to do there so I'll tell you ALL about it!

So on our first lesson, It was about 'Stories from the Pacific'. We got to learn stories and make some art about it! I had so much fun listening to our instructor Salome who is a VERY good artist and I LOVE her work that she displays to the class whenever we get to go to Te Tuhi.

Then our second lesson was something about families? I think, I'm sorry because I forgot about it, But we created some art and there were 4 parts on it, I literally forgot the name but it's that symbol on the Maori Flag like the one in the middle...Sorry again for not being more specific!

So we had to write our family on it (The biggest one) and the 3 other little parts were suppose to have patterns, home, and pacific stories that you liked so I did Moana because it's based on the Polynesian Culture.

Then for our last session, We had to do roleplays so our one was 'The Life of a Tongan Christian'. I really liked our one because it was about Sunday school and That's what I always go to EVERY SUNDAY just except the month of December!

Poster:

(I have a REALLY bad camera)

Then we created posters that were related to our roleplay and I am REALLY proud of my one and I absolutely think that I did a WONDERFUL job! If you wanna look at my poster, It's right there up above :)

Have you EVER went to Te Tuhi Art Gallery with your peers? And What are your thoughts on my work?

Thanks for reading!
