👹 Happy Halloween 👹

IALT: Reflect about Halloween!

Malo Lelei and greetings to you all...
WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

Today after school, I went Trick or Treating which is apart of Halloween! I was SO excited because I went with my 3 nieces, 3 nephews, older sister and my aunty. We went Trick or Treating in Glendowie so I ended up not doing Trick or Treating here around Panmure like I always do but that was good because I didn't want to people my school, LOL!

So for Halloween, I dressed up as a Skeleton and also got my older sister to paint my face but not make it as scary because usually it's always ugly but it wasn't that much today. I actually REALLY enjoyed going Trick or Treating but the ONLY thing I hated is when my hoodie came down because my hair was in a low bun, and I had to put the hoodie on because that was how the costume was like so I just let my hair out and since it WAS Halloween and everything's suppose to scary, I realised my hair was scary so that's what I did.

As we ALL got ready, we packed our bags and left to my aunty's house in Glendowie where we will be Trick or Treating. I've only Trick or Treated ONCE there and that was when I was Snow - White and around about 7 years old ... it was SO much fun back then but kind of I guess nowadays, LOL!

Peti was a Pirate and my younger nephew was Mr Incredible!

🔴 Red Day 🔴

IALT: Reflect about Red Day!

Talofa Lava and greetings to you all...
WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

Today, The whole of Tamaki Primary School had RED DAY! The reason why we had Red Day is because we have 4 houses at our school, and we also give out rewards such as tokens to each individual's houses such as Tripoli, Alamein, Benghazi and Tobruk - if that makes sense, LOL!

But since last term, Tobruk one most of the weeks for the most tokens - they chose to have a day where the WHOLE entire school gets where Red to school to support their house colour. If you didn't know : Tobruk - Red, Benghazi - Green, Alamein - Yellow and Tripoli - Blue : Those are our HOUSE COLOURS!

This can happen to ANY of the houses ONLY if we work hard but anyways, the reward for EVERYONE in the house Tobruk was a Pizza Party and also some chocolate sundaes! I was pretty lucky to get given 2 sundaes from my fellow friends Patience & Constance who are in the house Tobruk!

To Red Day, I wore a Mate Ma'a Tonga jumper with a jersey inside, blue jeans and some adidas shoes to go with it. I can tell your right now, that there were SO many people wearing Mate Ma'a Tonga jersey's, jumpers, hats, shoes, flags and more! It was actually hilarious.

By the way, that sundae was DELICIOUS!

👻 Halloween Tomorrow 👻

IALT: Remind everyone that HALLOWEEN is tomorrow!

Bula Vinaka and greetings to you all...
WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

If you didn't know, HALLOWEEN is tomorrow! To be honest, it didn't really feel like it's nearly Halloween but now that it is just tomorrow, I am SUPER DUPER nervous - because I don't have anything to wear for Trick or Treating and to add to that ... I keep thinking that I am too old of for it which makes me confused.

I do know that some families don't celebrate it due to religions or something like that because they see Halloween as a bad thing, but I don't think that really ... it just seems like a fun day to hang out with your family but its NOT better than Christmas!

But this is just to give you guys a heads up!

Anyways thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more blogposts!

Hello and greetings to you all...
WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

My OLDER SISTER Lucky!

Last week - Saturday - my older sister Lucky had a BABY SHOWER! If you didn't know, she's actually have TWIN boys. My other sister actually wanted to Twins but unlucky because Lucky got it ... Twins actually run in the family if you don't know. My mum's a twin but her, and her twin sister are fraternal twins and then my aunty who is my mum's younger sister has Twin - Granddaughters so now we have TWINS too!

I had to help set up everything because it was actually at my new house in Rewa, we had it in the backyard! The forecast said it was going to rain on that day, and the day before but on the day before, it never was raining - same goes to the of the Baby Shower until it came on to the evening.

I thought my oldest sister Seini hired someone to do the Baby Shower, but turns out, she did it ALL by herself and also by the help of my other aunties. It looked SO nice that I wish I got to send the photos to me on my phone, but sadly I didn't :(

I enjoyed it SO much, especially the food. It was DELICIOUS! It wasn't like a FULL on feed, but it was like snacks like - Sushi, Chips, Ham, Crackers, Fruit, Cookies, Krispy Kreme Donuts, Cream Cheese, Carrots, Hummus, Celery and SO much more....

We also had games like playing Bingo, Naming Baby Supplies from A-Z, Blindfold Eating Baby Food, and more .... I enjoyed it very much and it was also hilarious too. The winner of those games receive a gift each which is filled with Hershey's Kisses, A Bath & Body Works Perfume & Cream.

I wish I had some though, LOL!

But we had a BLAST at the Baby Shower, and I was SO full after that I felt that there was a BIG as ball in my stomach. After, I got a stomach ache but luckily a Chocolate Milkshake fixed it.

🤝 Leadership Programme 🤝

IALT: Reflect about our Leadership Programme!

Kia Ora and greetings to you all...
WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

Image result for balancing responsibilities as a kid

Last week - Thursday - on the second block, the student leader's had a Leadership Programme with Ms Aireen. The leadership programme was based on 'Balancing Responsibilities', to me - I thought that 'Balancing Responsibilities' means balancing your role as a leader and also a learner - (sorry, if that doesn't make sense).

Balancing your responsibilities is like prioritising, utilise others and focus on the objective. So for example, if you were to stand on one foot and hold on to someone else so you don't fall, with the help of that someone, you're safe and you won't fall - that's Utilising Others because you're not doing it by yourself, but someone is helping you.

Image result for balancing on one foot

Now, you can let go. As you let go of that person, and you're still balancing - that's called Prioritising. It's when you're balancing but you begin to shift to a side so in order to keep balance, you shift a bit to the other side to keep your balance, if you know what I mean.

Okay, now you have to close your eyes. It gets a bit harder now because you can't see or feel anything - this is called Focusing on the Objective like how you're focusing on your balance right now!

There, now you should understand what 'Balancing Responsibilities' mean!

I enjoyed the lesson very much because it taught me a word that I don't use that much which is 'Prioritise'. Prioritising is means to organise and put time into things you need to do.

What I struggled with mostly, like throughout the whole lesson was the questions that were given to answer like :

- Who can help me with this responsibility?
- When is this responsibility my highest priority?

- What is the aim at the end of this responsibility?

The reason why I struggled because it was just hard to explain and answer because it sent different answers to my brain, and I get confused on which one I should write on it ... luckily, my peers were there to help me :)

Today we made Mince GRAVY! I didn't really enjoy that much because it had too much vegetables in it which I personally think, kind of tasted yuck but I was still grateful for eating it. I think that if we just made Mince Gravy without the vegetables, then you will be WAY better and more delicious than EVER!

For this dish, I worked with Demetrius and I assure you, he is a good partner even though he doesn't listen that much, LOL! But anyways, our dish looked different to the others because their one's were watery and our one was thick so then I thought our one was the one that was ACTUALLY cooked!

Ingredients:

- Onion
- Mince
- Gravy
- Vegetables
- Water

Step 1 - Dice the onion and fry with mince until cooked.

Step 2 - Add vegetables and 1/2 cup of water with 1 block of Vege Ox.

Here's what it looked like :

🎨 Abstract Art - Te Tuhi 🎨

IALT: Reflect about my Abstract Art & going to Te Tuhi!

Malo Lelei and greetings to you all...
WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

Today, group 1 has went to the Te Tuhi Art Gallery to learn more and create Abstract Art! We've been learning about this for a few days so KIA MANAWANUI finally got the chance to actually go and create Abstract Art!

To me, I think 'Abstract Art' means a piece of Art that is not realistic but something that uses colour, shade, form, texture etc ... I was ecstatic to go! As we got there, we were greeted by our common instructor Salome who always teaches us about Art then we headed to the Art room!

We put on our aprons and listened to the instructions :

As you can tell^, that was what we were learning about and what the result of our 'Abstract Art' will look like!

Picture of me using the Technology around me!
(1) - Use the cut out technology around you to trace it onto the piece you were given.

(2) - Then draw four lines down the paper and across, you can do this diagonally if wanted.

(3) - Then outline ALL of the lines using black vivid.

(4) - After that, choose four paints to use on your artwork.

(5) - When you have chosen, start to pain but don't paint the SAME colour side to side or else it will look odd!

(6) - When finished, ENJOY!

As it hit 11am, we ALL had to stop doing our artworks and head into two lines so off we went washing our hands, and taking off our aprons. LUCKILY, I just finished blow-drying my artwork and had enough time to go over the lines with vivid again because pain was all over it, I was really proud of it but sadly, I also didn't have enough time to take a photo of it!

When we finished, we went to go and explore the different Art exhibitions. I was quite surprised when I saw that everything was changed because it happened SO fast but to be honest with you, I liked it better than the last one.

We got to explore these 3 light cases that were hanging on the wall. One was Captain James Cook, Two was Dame Whina Cooper who was a respected kuia that worked for many years for the rights of her people, and particularly to improve the lot of Māori women, and the Samoan prime minister Tuilaepa Aiono Sailele Malielegaoi.

Then a documentary that was in this little cinema from a international artist who now lives in the U.K!

I had SO much fun there, and I am excited for the next time I go there!
