Sorry I haven't been blogging in a while, it's just because my netbook has been damaged meaning I can't really blog that much as I use to last month but I will try my VERY best to blog every day for you all!

I am currently at school now doing POETRY which is actually really fun! I didn't enjoy doing Poetry years ago but I think now, my mind has changed and I DO like Poetry now and I think I'm getting good at it because of the Figurative Language I use, LOL!

IALT: Reflect about my trip to the Auckland Museum!

(Part 1)

On Tuesday in the morning, half of KIA MANAWANUI went to the Auckland MUSEUM! Just to let you know, this was my FIRST and SECOND time going to the Museum so I was pretty excited and pumped. We first did the role call of course and then got some name tags from our teachers to pin on our shirt, we also had to put our Morning Tea in a big bin and wait for the next instruction.

As we hopped on the bus, everyone admired the seats, and T.V. But unlucky, we weren't able to touch it, ONLY the seat belts and the chair, OFF we went to the Museum! 

When we got there, I think EVERYONE was excited, especially me since it WAS my first time going to the Museum I think. We got off've the bus and headed towards the entrance where we got greeted from Wendy & Angelique who will be our instructors for the days.

We went into this learning centre where there was HEAPS of cool things which I haven't seen before like Stop-Motion, Virtual Reality, Robots, Paint 3D, and Green Screen which we all got a turn to explore. The ONLY thing I knew about was 'Tinkercad' because I used this particular app in Graphics at Technology.

We got into pairs and went around clockwise so EVERYONE can have a turn, it was actually SO cool. The one I enjoyed the MOST was Virtual Reality because you get given these types of goggles that takes you into another world, and also 2 remotes which provides you to draw and do WHATEVER. I think that was what MOST people enjoyed too!

After getting to experience ALL of this, my group headed with Tom & Aaron, while the other group that was them came back to the learning centre. Off we went to the 'Volcanic Eruption' exhibition! When we got there, it was actually SO cool because they had made a fake volcano that looked SO realistic. There also was a little house where it takes you through a experience of a Volcanic Eruption, since it was my first time at the museum, I was quite afraid of what would happened because it IS a Volcanic Eruption Experience right? So obviously, I didn't know what would happened but when the room started to shaking, it did quite give me a big shock, but the only reason that made me a bit shocked, and upset was because I wonder what the people had felt during this horrifying experience.


Straight away when the Volcanic Eruption experience had been done, we went around exploring and learning NEW things about it. We also got to see these types of rocks that came out of Volcanes like for e.g - Basalt, Lava Bombs, Scoria, Obsidian and more...There was these lava rocks that were protected in this cage so NO one can run away with it, but the reason why they put it there so everyone can have a turn to lift it up, like to see it if they can lift it or not!

(Part 2)

On Friday, we went AGAIN to the Museum but this time, it was to create something relating to natural disasters that we could use on one of the tools that we got to experience on Tuesday.

For the project that we will be creating, myself & my buddies are using the Green Screen, Paint 3D, and also VIRTUAL REALITY! On the VR, it was quite difficult to do it but we got a hang of it which was good and we also got to finish off drawing all of it, which meant that we were on to the part where we start to create it.

It wasn't really that fun like Tuesday because we had to plan a lot and also had to create something using the tools like I just said, but it was difficult because we needed to use the tools a LOT and to add to that, we had to try and think hard and fast so we would be able to finish it off until Angelique & Wendy told us that they will come to our school in September to help us finish it off which was very relieving!

I can't wait for them to come so I can finish off my project that I made with my fellow buddies Kensington, and Aletheia!

🏀 Basketball Game 🏀

IALT: Reflect about my Basketball Game yesterday!

G'Day and greetings to you all...

WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

Yesterday at 5.00pm, the TPS basketball team went to our Basketball game which was held at the Tamaki Rec Center. We were versing POINT ENGLAND, we were ALL pretty scared and nervous knowing that their school is honestly so good at sports but we still remained positive and never gave up.

In the team is :

Myself, Aletheia, Aja, Patience, Teresa, Cerenity, Constance, Wallymei, Caleb, Perenara, and Mahara. 

Sadly we lost our game but oh well, we will definitely try to win our game next week since we will be having games EVERY Wednesday for 6 weeks including this week. We will be versing a LOT of schools that are around our area, so I am PRETTY excited honestly.

What I found challenging was getting the ball and trying to shoot it in the hoop because shooting isn't really my thing, ONLY intercepting which is what I LOVE to do and is what I did at the game!

🥊 Boxing 🥊

IALT: Reflect about KIWISPORT - (Boxing)!

Hello and greetings to you all...
WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

 Yesterday after morning tea, KIA MANAWANUI had Kiwisport and as you ALL should know by now because of my title, our Kiwisport for this term is .... BOXING! I have actually never really did boxing so I am quite happy getting to learn how to do it and also getting to learn MORE about it.

During the session, we learnt how to do a Left Hook, Right Hook, Left Uppercut and Right Uppercut. It was pretty cool and confusing at first but the MORE I did it, the better I got at it. We ALSO got to do a combo which was quite complicated and difficult too but I still was able to do it!

The combo we learnt was Jab, Cross, Right Hook, Left Hook, Right Uppercut, Left Uppercut. It was pretty cool doing it and it was also hard but I still had HEAPS of fun!



I can NOT wait til next week's boxing session, and I hope you are too!

I am currently finishing off some work that needs to be completed by the end of this week, no wonder why we have HOMEWORK CLUB every Tuesday, LOL! But anyways, I am now completing my Explanation Writing since I JUST started yesterday. Most of the students in the KIA MANAWANUI syndicate have started last week but I wasn't here last week for a few days so I'm still trying to catch up, which I am doing a good job with!

Ms Komor is also helping other students with their work because some are struggling but I know that they will be able to get back up on their feet and give their 100% best to their works which will be AMAZING of course. 

The students that are here at the Homework Club is :

Leilani, Aletheia, Kensington, Grace, Faka'ata, Hevani, Lydia, Fa'afiu and Hevani.

⚡️ Kapa Haka ⚡️

IALT: Reflect about KAPA HAKA!

Kia Ora and greetings to you all...

WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

So as usual on Tuesday's and Thursday's, there is KAPA HAKA. So the Kapa Haka group headed towards the hall downstairs where we normally do it, as we get there - we take off our shoes and form a circle to do our Karakia (prayer). After we do our karakia, we get into our lines where we do our action song!

We ONLY did our action song ONCE because we needed to learn the rest of this new song. I can tell you right now, I have been having a BLAST at Kapa Haka because when we're loud and proud, it becomes FIRE!

At the end of the lesson, Andre and Chonell who are our Kapa Haka tutors invited us to go have a little talk with them after the session. It was me, Leilani, Star and Wallymei. He just told Wallymei to STOP mucking around a lot and tried to make him realise that he is IN Kapa Haka for a reason.

Me, Leilani and Star were there because there is a NEW position for a girl to be leader of the Kapa Haka group since Teresa will sadly be leaving to a school in Mt Wellington which is Bailey Rd School.

He did ask a lot of questions but that was just because he wanted to see if we were determined and WANTED the position of being a Kapa Haka leader. At the end of the day, they are still deciding but we will just see until Thursday, so HOORAY!

What I enjoyed about this was getting to learn a NEW song/haka which will probably SHOCK you when we perform it, LOL! I also enjoyed getting to see the headband that they had created for us to wear because our FIRST performance will be on Maori Language Week which will be exciting!

My next steps are to:

- Pronounce the words correctly.

- Give my 100% WHEN performing.

- Having a Growth Mindset and doing the PUKANA when needed!

OH! I also forgot to mention - today is the very LAST day for Cook Island Language Week which was this week, I had SO much fun learning about the Cook Islands, and I'm sure YOU have did something for this special week!

IALT: Reflect about my WEEKEND!

WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

So I am VERY sorry for not blogging throughout the whole weekend! It's just because a few days ago, I've been playing this video game called 'Fortnite'. You ALL probably already know this game since it's famous and because how EVERYONE loves to play it including ME, lol! 

EVER since I started playing it, I've been addicted to it SO much that I stayed up til 3 yesterday playing it, it was TOTALLY worth it! Throughout the weekend, I have been playing with Caleb, Hamish, Toma, Leilani, Cerenity and Timeus. It was actually hilarious playing with them, because I would be SO cheeky and say "Hold up! Let me look for a gun" when really I have one so when they turn their back to me, I can shoot them! 

The only reason why I do that is because I hate getting shot a LOT, and to add to that - I'm still learning, so I am TRYING my best to succeed and get more kills then the people I'm playing with so I can have a ' #1 VICTORY ROYALE! '.

That was PRETTY MUCH what I did in the weekend and ALSO the reason why I haven't been blogging but I will try my best to blog MORE & MORE everyday for you ALL. I also have been eating a LOT of fast food which probably makes this weekend, the second best weekend I've had, because the first best weekend was when I went to Hamilton and watched the game between Kiwis and Mate Ma'a Tonga! I also was in the SAME hotel as the Kiwis and I hopped on the SAME elevator as most of them too!

But anyways, I hope you ALL had a COOL weekend like I did, LOL!

I also hope that you ALL had learnt something new from your work, school or at home on the television, LOL!

Today, I just did the daily routine which is to wake up at 7:30, and get ready for school then come back STRAIGHT AWAY from school and play Fortnite with my friends because I'm SO cool like that, LOL! But like I just said, I hope you ALL had a GOOD day today!

I am EXTREMELY tired and exhausted from blogging too much and playing Fortnite as you can tell by the emojis on my title, LOL!

🤦🏽‍♀️ Bad Shoe Day 🤦🏽‍♀️

IALT: Reflect about having a BAD SHOE DAY!

Today I had a BAD SHOE DAY! But I thought I didn't during this morning, but I ended up HAVING one throughout the whole day I was at school! In the morning as I was getting ready for school, I realised that my school shoes had ugly holes in it so I wanted to wear something else.

What I chose to wear were these OLD BLUE NIKE SHOES! I thought it was a GREAT idea so I went with it to school, during the first hours - I was doing INCREDIBLY great in it until some of the bottom bit of my shoe came off which kept bugging me as I was walking but luckily, I ignored it a LOT!

Then when I went off to Kapa Haka, and came back to class WEARING my shoes, it had to be seen that nearly the WHOLE of the rubber thingy that was on the bottom of my right shoe had been COMPLETELY off so I walked in to class asking if they had ANY super glue but they had said NO so I just decided to RIP it off.

As I walked outside, it was kind of slippery to the point that when I went to Basketball Trials, I kept slipping because of the material on my shoe but that did NOT stop me from playing so I just carried on. THEN it got to the point when NEARLY the whole of the bottom rubber thingy on my left side shoe started coming off, which made me RIP it AGAIN, and chuck it in the bin!

Now things just got MORE slippery so I just decided to sit out for this one because I didn't wanna get hurt, it also was EXTREMELY squeezing my feet which was making my toes feel sore so I took it off STRAIGHT AWAY when I got home, LOL!

One thing I've learnt is that I AM GOING TO NEVER wear these shoes AGAIN, because I just kept embarrassing myself with slipping, but oh well, because it was actually VERY funny too!!!

🎼 Kapa Haka 🎼

IALT: Reflect about KAPA HAKA!

WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

So as you ALL know already, I am in the Kapa Haka group. The tutors of the Kapa Haka group are ALWAYS on time and have ALWAYS dedicated their VERY best to the Tamaki Primary KAPA HAKA group, so we are honestly, TRULY grateful! 

For the last couple of weeks, we have a learnt a song, a action song (which we are STILL trying to improve on), and a exit song. So when we arrived to the hall which is where we ALWAYS do our KAPA HAKA, we take off our shoes and get in to a circle for the Karakia, after the Karakia is finished, we head straight into our action song then our KAPA HAKA tutors will give us the next instruction.

To be honest, today's KAPA HAKA session was different because we usually will learn the song and KEEP doing the action song which wasn't what we did today. Today, we just did the action song for about 3 times, then got straight into the exit song which took for AGES, because most of the students couldn't hold their note, which I know is difficult so that's probably why the KAPA HAKA tutors took their time!

After ALL of that, we got back in to a circle to do the ending Karakia. A short while after that, we started to play this game called 'Pukana' where one person in the circle turns to the next person and yells "PUKANA!" with the facial! You can have battles with the people next to you which make it MORE interesting, and also if you would like to pass it to someone who isn't next to you, then you'll have to say "AUE!" and they'd have to reply with a "HI!" then carry on, it was SO fun and I would LOVE to play that game next time!

😻 Hotdog & Fries 😻

IALT: Reflect about my dinner!

Earlier on, my sister rang to see what we will like to eat for dinner so my brother asked if we could eat Li'l Abners, so that was what we ate! Me and my older brother ordered a Hot Dog, Fries and a Drink while the rest of my family had toasties, nuggets, chicken & rice, and more...

I was SO excited when the food arrived because I was LITERALLY starving. When my sister laid it out in the lounge, we ALL digged in and got what we ordered and ATE it! I can tell you RIGHT NOW, my meal was absolutely SCRUMPTIOUS, DELICIOUS and MAGNIFICENT!

 Here is what I had : 

Ikr, DELICIOUSNESS right there!

This meal was SO YUM, that I finished the WHOLE LOT! By the way, the Hot Dog was HUGE and VERY long but delicious, same goes to the fries. I also had a Fanta drink which I am STILL drinking right now, the reason why I'm stoked about this meal was because I finished it, I NEVER really finish the BIG meals that are given to me so I'm proud of myself, LOL!

🎤 Band Practice 🎤

IALT: Reflect about Band Practice!

WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

Today was the FIRST band practice for Term 3! The reason why was because last week, Caleb was sick so he wasn't able to come and do band with us but now that he is ALL better, he can. As we arrived to the music room, I kind of forgot how to set up and then when I saw everyone doing it, I kinda got in to it and remembered it which was pretty weird.

Sadly, Amon was absent so he obviously wasn't able to come Band Practice but he COULD come tomorrow ONLY if he comes! But anywho, we grabbed ALL of the band equipment and setted it up so we would be able to play it, since I am a singer, ALL I had to do was plug in my microphone cord to the desk who is known as 'Steve' and also plug that same cord into my microphone, and then I was finished, but I still help others to finish off what they needed to do!

After we were ALL finished, we first played this song called 'If it's meant to be". Some of the words in the song, we made up because it didn't really relate to school stuff but now that did since we changed it, we were happy!

The challenges I faced was trying to remember the lyrics we came up with because I kept singing the ORIGINAL lyrics instead of the made-up lyrics we created but like I ALWAYS say, we ALL makes mistakes so I was fine with it.

One thing I enjoyed was getting to pick a song! The reason why was because, we ALWAYS had to the same songs every assembly instead of different ones so I was pretty stoked and happy, Caleb picked TWO songs which we had to pick from which was 'Can't Stop The Feeling' and 'Happy'. We ALL wanted to do BOTH songs so Caleb agreed with us, but FIRST, we started off with 'Happy'.

We haven't really finished because the drummer, base, and keyboard people are still practicing their parts, but other then that, I am HAPPY of course!

🥊 Boxing 🥊

IALT: Reflect about our Kiwisport Lesson!

WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

As you can ALL tell by my title, our Kiwisport for Term 3 is BOXING! I think last year, we had boxing lessons but they were ONLY for year 7 or 8's, if you wanted to join, you can sign up, because it was a programme, not really a Kiwisport. But anyways, since our Kiwisport for this Term is BOXING, we have been learning a LOT about it!

As we arrived to the hall, we met up with our Coach/Instructor who is Pax. She will be the one who will teach us the skills in BOXING, but FIRST, we went over the 3 commandments which was Discipline - To turn up to EVERY boxing session and give 100%, Safety - I will NOT harm others, and ONLY practice in a safe environment with gear under the guidance of a coach, and Respect - Myself, Teacher, Others, and the Coach. Coach Pax said that those rules were VERY important because BOXING is obviously a sport where it includes hurting people but definitely NOT in training!

We learnt how to Jab and Cross. At first, the challenges I faced was trying to get into the CORRECT form where I would be able to Jab and Cross properly, sadly that didn't happen the first time but we all make mistakes so I was fine with it. As I kept doing it, I got use to it and it became FUN!

One thing I enjoyed was Knee Tag, the reason why was because it got pretty competitive with the people I was with but we still managed to do our best. I also partnered up with Demetrius and he said he was "Undefeated" until it took like a minute for me to tag his knee, then was pretty annoyed because he thought I cheap-shotted him, LOL!

☹️ No Technology Today ☹️

Sadly, KIA MANAWANUI had NO Technology AGAIN! This time, it was because at Tamaki College, it was Teacher's Only Day - so that was why our Technology was cancelled. If I didn't say anything before or the reason why we didn't have Technology last week because they had Parent Interviews which lead them to being very busy.

But overall, it's alright even though I was WANTING to go and finish off my project, but at the end of the day, you can't really change anything, LOL! But anywho, Technology will DEFINITELY be next week so I am SUPER excited WOOHOO!

I just recieved a email from Ms Aireen saying that we are having a COOK ISLAND CULTURAL OUTFIT DAY TOMORROW! I never KNEW we were going to be having one but now that I got told, I will definitely be coming with something cultural I guess.

MANY of us students have been emailing the teachers to see if we would be wearing mufti, and we ARE! We also have the COOK ISLAND LANGUAGE WEEK ASSEMBLY, so that will be held tomorrow at 2.00pm if you'd like to come :)

I don't know why, but I am VERY excited for tomorrow because not only are we performing a item, but we will also be dressing up in MUFTI which was what I JUST said, LOL!

WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG! 

As you can ALL see again, I wasn't able to blog this morning so I decided to blog in the evening, I literally JUST finished playing Fortnite with Cerenity, Esile, Sedrick and Lydia but earlier on, I played ONLY with Timeus, Leilani and Lydia! We were ALL playing 'Playground' which is when you get ALL have a '1 v 1'  or '2 v 2' or '1 v 2'... you know what I mean right ?!

The challenges that I ALWAYS have to face, is when I'm shooting because sometimes I get the wrong aim and start shooting something else instead of my opponent and also trying to figure out GOOD guns and BAD guns!

But anyways, I hope you ALL had a WONDERFUL evening like me, because how I was playing FORTNITE and I don't know why, but I am actually getting addicted to it, LOL! But honestly, it is such a FUN game that I will ALWAYS play when boredom hits me.

🍕 Pizza 🍕

IALT: Reflect about my Dinner!

WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

After I played FORTNITE, my older sister Seini had went and bought some dinner! What we had for dinner was PIZZA, I have not had pizza in a while so I was VERY excited to eat it and ALSO, I haven't had garlic bread in a while which is my ALL-TIME FAVOURITE!

The pizza's that my older sister got was Beef & Onion with this type of sauce on top of it, Hawaiian and also CHEESE for ME & my NEPHEWS since we LOVE that kind of pizza and also Ham & Cheese. The Beef & Onion one, she bought for herself and for my older brother since that's his favourite. The Hawaiian pizza was for my mother because she LOVES Hawaiian pizza, and of course, like I JUST said, the cheese pizza was for me & my nephews, LOL!

We literally ate up nearly the WHOLE thing in minutes, that was PRETTY MUCH how hungry we were so straight after that meal, I was SO full and I couldn't even play Fortnite which was a shame because I had to wait for minutes then play it which eventually happened.

🏆 First #1 Victory Royale 🏆

IALT: Reflect about my FIRST VICTORY ROYALE!

WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

Like I said on my previous blog post, I have learnt how to play FORTNITE! I literally have NEVER been on a PS4 for that long, because I usually just read a book or watch videos when I'm bored but as I saw my nephew playing it with some of his cousins, I decided that I wanted to learn how to play it!

As I began to play it, I was kind of getting good at it (In my perspective, LOL!), so I decided to add Lydia and Cerenity in to a party that I had created so we could talk and PLAY ON FORTNITE. Sadly, Lydia wasn't really on for long and she had gone somewhere so I was playing with her younger brother, Esile. I was going to play with Cerenity but I felt sorry for Esile so I played with him!

But anyways, as they ALL went to do their important things, I was bored and there wasn't really ANYTHING for me to do so I just played Fortnite AGAIN. This time, I wasn't versing anyone I know because it was called '50 v 50', by the way, this was my first time playing in that type of game so I joined it.

As I joined it, I realised that there are a LOT of good people who know what they're doing, except for me because I was really affiliated with building, and shooting so I was still getting use to it. There was something in the game called a 'Storm' and it can happen at ANY time which is ALSO the time when people die in the game and then the other team gets Victory Royale.

So that came in and it was scaring me obviously because I didn't want to die, so I ran away from it and as I was running, there were still some people shooting so I also shot some people so our team could win, and then when I shot one more person, who was actually VERY difficult to shoot since he was jumping around a lot, a BIG logo or sign came up that said '#1 VICTORY ROYALE!' that looks EXACTLY like this one which is on the game !

I literally started screaming "HOORAY!!!! YAY, I ACTUALLY DID IT, OH MY GOSHNESS!!". I felt overjoyed and full of EXCITEMENT, that I even grabbed this chocolate sauce, whipped cream and put it ALL in my mouth, that my was DEFINITELY my treat for that game! The total kills I got in this game were 13 - I know it wasn't really much but I am STILL proud of myself!

The challenges I faced was having to think fast because your opponents could be behind you or aiming their gun at you, shooting so you HAVE to be careful AND also having to look for a gun so you can shoot during the game, because it's not those types of video games where you can buy the gun and already have it in the game, this game is when you have to search around for ammo, aids, Colourful Llama's - (Which is filled of important things you'll need), and also treasure chests (same thing as the Llama's).
