IALT: Reflect about KAPA HAKA!

Kia Ora and greetings to you all...
WELCOME BACK TO MY BLOG!

In the middle block - at 11:30, Group A for Kapa Haka went down to the hall to get started with our session, so we went down and said our warm greetings to the Kapa Haka tutors who are Marama, Andre & his Sister, then took off our shoes to get ready for some ACTION.

We learnt a new haka today. I'm not sure what it's called but it's about us asking Tangaroa (God of the Sea) to guide us through big waves we come across while paddling to our destination or location.

But first, we learnt the haka first. The Kapa Haka tutors started the Haka off in the beginning then lead us to what we will need to do, we had to be EXTRA loud since this is NOT a song, it's a Haka.

Then, the girls and boys got in to the positions they will need to be in while doing the Haka. The boys's positions looked comfortable but for us girls - we had to do this comfortable/uncomfortable position - but we still got on with it. So then, we just taught the moves that go with the Haka and it looked incredible! How the actions and movements that go with the boys and girls were charming and fabulous!

What I didn't enjoy about Kapa Haka was that a lot of the boys and some girls, kept talking which made the lesson a bit shorter and that we weren't able to learn more of the actions due to them talking so hopefully the next session we have Kapa Haka, they will be quite and we'll be able to get on with actions faster.

What I most enjoyed about Kapa Haka was that when we did the actions all together as one, we did an absolute AMAZING job, that I was even proud too. The Kapa Haka tutors also did a outstanding job teaching us this Haka because it will definitely come in handy! And also even for people who want to be Kapa Haka leaders, I felt like I won't really fit in to being a Kapa Haka leader until one of the Kapa Haka tutors Marama, just put my name down on the list so at that moment, I was quite happy.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed this blogpost about Kapa Haka today, make sure to comment your opinions and feedback to let me know how to be a better learner and blogger!

Once again, thank you for reading, MALO!
